Wedding films in Uckfield.
Photography and film come from one in-house team. Hayden films your Uckfield day while Aaron shoots stills alongside, so the sound, the vows and the speeches travel home with you, not just the pictures.
What a film records on an East Sussex day.
A photograph of the gardens at Horsted Place is a lovely thing to hang on the wall. It cannot give you back the sound. It will not have the sound of the vows, the laughter in the room during the best man’s speech, or the music as you walked back down the aisle. A film keeps all of that. That is the whole reason to book one, so you keep the sound of the day as well as the pictures.
We are Robinson Martin Green, based at Mudberry Lane in Chichester, and the films are led by Hayden Martin-Green, who shoots and cuts them, with Aaron Robinson on stills working the same day beside him. Uckfield sits on the River Uck at the edge of the High Weald, with the Ashdown Forest a short run north and grand houses like Buxted Park and Horsted Place a few minutes out of town. It is proper wedding country, and country like that gives a film both the wide moving shots and the close, quiet ones in a single day.
The Weald films well. Parkland and Gothic gardens move from open sun into deep shade within a few steps, and in the last hour before sunset the light drops fast and warm across the grounds, which is the moment we watch for to film the closing shots. Sound is the other thing this ground gives you, because a ceremony inside the high stone of a country house holds a voice close, with none of the wind you fight in an open field, so the vows land clean on the recording. We plan the day around both the picture and the sound, because a wedding film that looks lovely and loses the words halfway through the vows has missed the point.
How far Uckfield is from us.
We should be honest with you from the start. If you are looking for a wedding videographer in Uckfield, know that Uckfield is around 40 miles east of our base, so it is a longer run than a job on our doorstep, and we have not yet filmed a wedding in the town itself. We would rather tell you that plainly than dress this page up with an Uckfield couple who does not exist. What we do have are full wedding films from days a comfortable drive away, one running 5:57 and one about 3:53, filmed by the very people who would come and film yours, and the distance changes none of that.
For a venue we have not filmed at, and for Uckfield that will usually be the case, we drive out and walk it before your date. We work out where the sound will be clean, where the light will sit at your ceremony hour, and where a drone can fly if the estate allows it, so the first time we film there is not on the morning it counts. The drive gets built into the timings so we arrive with room to spare rather than flustered, and any travel is agreed on the quote upfront, never added quietly later.
How an Uckfield day looks on film.
An Uckfield wedding film has more than one look inside it, and a country day gives you all of them. In the morning we film the getting-ready shots, the details and the walk down to the ceremony. The middle of the day is the house and its gardens, the part most couples picture when they imagine the film. Then the evening arrives, and the Weald looks its best on film as the sun drops and the last of the light runs low and gold across the grounds for a couple walking out at just the right minute.
The reception films differently again. First dances, speeches and the noise of a full room need the sound as much as the picture, so we keep recording the room while we film it, and the finished piece carries the laugh that ran through the best man and the first few bars of your first dance as they actually sounded, not a track dropped over the top.

The venues around Uckfield.
Real venues in and around the town, each with something specific to film around. We walk any of them ahead of your day so the first time we film there is not on the day itself.
Buxted Park sits just north of the town, a Georgian mansion of 1722 in 312 acres of parkland with the Orangery licensed for ceremonies beside the pond. Glass and water work well on film, because the light comes off them and moves, and the parkland gives the drone room to fly if the conditions allow. Horsted Place a couple of miles south is a Victorian Gothic house with a sweeping staircase and romantic gardens, and a staircase is one of the best moving shots a wedding film has, the walk down caught in one unbroken take rather than frozen in a single frame.
East Sussex National at Little Horsted is a golf and country estate with wide grounds and a larger modern space, room enough that two cameras can sit apart on the ceremony without ever crossing each other. The wider Wealden countryside, from the River Uck through to the Ashdown Forest a short drive north, gives you open heath and woodland to close a film on. Each of these rooms holds a voice differently, and knowing that before your day is the difference between vows you can hear and vows lost to an echo, which is why we walk them first.
Editing and delivery.
The edit is where a wedding film is actually made, and it is worth knowing what happens after the day. We work through the footage and the recorded sound, choose the moments, and cut your wedding film, usually within 8 to 10 weeks, at whatever length the day needs. It lands in your private Wedding Hub, the same place your photographs are delivered, so the film and the gallery sit together in one spot rather than the film arriving on a memory stick that ends up in a drawer. On Silver and Gold, a short 60 second teaser comes first, so you have something to share while the film is still in progress. Because both your film and your photographs come from us, there is one delivery, one login, and one team to talk to if you want a change.

Questions from couples filming in Uckfield.
In a stone-walled room at Buxted Park or Horsted Place, will the vows actually be audible on the film?
Yes, because we record the actual sound rather than laying a song over silent footage. A discreet microphone goes on the groom and another on the officiant, so the vows and the readings are caught at the source, and a separate recorder by the top table takes the speeches. Old country houses with hard plaster and panelling can throw an echo around, so capturing the words close on their own microphones matters far more there than trusting a camera across the room. The music sits underneath that audio, never in place of it.
How long is the wedding film for an Uckfield day, and is there a teaser?
There is one edited wedding film, and every collection includes it, with no separate full-length version. How long it runs follows the day, and Adam and Panha above comes in just under six minutes. Silver and Gold add a short teaser to share early, and the speeches are recorded in full in the film. The teaser comes first, and the film reaches your private Wedding Hub, usually within eight to ten weeks of the day.
Can we have a drone shot over the parkland or the Ashdown Forest edge, and a short reel for social?
Where the venue and the conditions allow it, yes to both. The 312 acres of parkland around Buxted Park and the open heath towards Ashdown Forest are made for an aerial shot, and we clear the airspace and the permissions in advance rather than on the morning. If flying is off because of weather or a restriction we tell you beforehand and cover it from the ground instead. We can also cut a short vertical teaser of around sixty seconds, sized for Instagram, so you have something to share while the full film is still being edited.
You are in Chichester. Can we book just the film for an Uckfield wedding, and is the distance a problem?
The film can be booked on its own if you already have a photographer, and it works well because we plan the day around whoever else is covering it. Uckfield is roughly forty miles east of our base, a longer run than a local job but well inside the ground we travel, and we build that drive into the timings and agree any travel on the quote upfront. Most couples book the film and the photography together so one in-house team runs the whole day, which is what we would recommend, but the film does not depend on it.
