Photography and film come from one in-house team. We filmed Becky and Lucas here, married in Horsham through to their reception, so on this page you can watch a real Horsham wedding rather than take our word for it.

Ceremony in Horsham · reception at The Highdown

What you hear in this film is the day itself, not a song laid over quiet footage. The vows from the ceremony room in Horsham, the readings, the speeches later at The Highdown, all recorded across roughly 12 hours on the day and cut into a 3 minute 53 film that runs the morning through to the evening in order. It runs the length that day needed, the kind of film couples actually rewatch and send round the family, and it is the single best answer we can give to anyone asking whether we can film a Horsham wedding.

RMG was absolutely fantastic at capturing our special day. Everyone made us feel so comfortable from the start. Their organisation and professionalism put us at ease, and we knew we were in good hands. They provided us with a list of photos and videos, ensuring a wide variety of options that perfectly captured our wedding day. We were thrilled with the results, our family can now cherish these moments forever. We can’t thank them enough for their incredible work!Becky & Lucas
    Why film a Horsham day

A film records the sound as well.

A gallery from your Horsham wedding is a lovely thing to own. It cannot give you back the sound. It will not carry the catch in a voice at the top of the vows in the ceremony room on North Street, the laughter in the reception during the best man’s speech, or the first bars of the song that started your first dance. Only a film keeps those, and once the day is over none of it can be recorded again.

We are Robinson Martin Green, a 2 person studio based at Mudberry Lane in Chichester, about 40 minutes down the A29 and A264, and we cover Horsham as one in-house team. Hayden Martin-Green leads the films, shooting and cutting them, with Aaron Robinson on stills working the same day beside him. That is the difference from booking a photographer and a separate videographer who meet for the first time at your ceremony. We are not the strangers wrestling for the aisle while you try to keep the peace between 2 suppliers.

Horsham gives a film a proper range of settings to work with. The old town around the Carfax and St Mary’s holds a warmth on camera in the late afternoon, the register office gardens backing onto the park give you a quiet few minutes to catch, and the country venues in the lanes outside town, the barns and the country houses with their grounds and lakes, give you the wide evening shots. We plan the day around the picture and the sound together, because a film that looks lovely and loses the vows halfway through has missed the point of being a film.

    The vows, with real sound
    One day, several looks

A town ceremony, a country evening.

A Horsham wedding film is really two settings stitched into one, and that is a strength on camera rather than a problem. The ceremony in the middle of town is close and contained, the vows landing clean in an enclosed room, the walk out into the register office gardens giving you a soft breather shot before the day opens up. Then you move out to the country, and the film changes register with you.

Out in the lanes the reception venue brings the space a film wants for its bigger moments. As the light drops over the fields the last of the sun runs low and warm across the grounds, and a couple stepping out for a few minutes then gives you the closing shots of the film. Inside, the speeches and the first dance need the sound as much as the picture, so we keep recording the room while we film it, and the finished piece carries the noise of a full reception as it actually sounded rather than a track dropped over the top.

    On the day

How a Horsham day gets filmed.

Because Hayden films while Aaron shoots stills, you get one team, one plan and one person to talk to, not two suppliers meeting for the first time as you walk in. On film that matters even more than it does on photographs. A videographer who has never met your photographer drifts into half their frames and fights for the aisle during the vows, and you are the one left refereeing two strangers on the one morning you should not have to.

Hayden films the ceremony on two cameras, one held tight on the couple and one wider on the room, so a reaction missed on one angle is caught on the other and the vows are never lost to a blocked view. For a country venue we do not know, out in the lanes past Lower Beeding or Southwater, we walk it before the day so the first time we film there is not on yours. We work out where the sound sits cleanest, where the light will fall at your ceremony hour, and where a drone can legally fly if the grounds allow it. Nothing is staged twice for the cameras. You are filmed and photographed at once, then handed straight back to your guests.

    Before you ask

Questions from couples filming in Horsham.

We are marrying at Horsham Register Office. Will a film even work in a room that size?

It works well, and the room actually helps the sound. The ceremony spaces at the register office on North Street are enclosed and close, so a voice carries cleanly to the recorder without the wind you fight on an open lawn, which means the vows and the readings come back crisp on the finished film rather than washing out. We film it on a small footprint from the side rather than planting a big rig down the aisle, so the camera is barely noticed and nobody in your row is looking at kit instead of at you. Becky and Lucas married in exactly that setting and their film is above, so you can hear how a Horsham ceremony sounds before you decide.

Our ceremony is in Horsham and the reception is out at a country venue. Does the film follow the move?

It does, and that split is the normal shape of a Horsham day because the register office is a ceremony space rather than an all-day venue, so most couples marry in town and drive on to a barn or a country house for the evening. We film the whole arc, the town ceremony, the drive between the two, and the reception at the second venue, and cut it into one film that runs the day in order. You are not left with a town ceremony on one file and an evening that feels like a different wedding.

Can you get a drone shot of the country venues around Horsham, and a short clip for social straight after?

Where the venue and the weather allow it, yes to both. The barns and country houses in the lanes around Horsham, with their grounds and lakes, are made for one aerial pass that sets the scene, and we clear the airspace and the venue’s permission in advance rather than turning up hoping. If a restriction or the wind rules flying out on the day, we tell you first and cover it from the ground. We can also cut a short vertical clip, around a minute, sized for Instagram and TikTok, so you have something to share within a few days while the full film is still being edited.

How soon after a Horsham wedding do we actually get the film?

Your wedding film usually lands within 8 to 10 weeks, and it arrives in your private Wedding Hub alongside your photographs. There is one film per couple, and on Silver and Gold the speeches are recorded in full within it. Those two collections also include a short teaser, which comes to you first so the wait for the film feels shorter.
