Wedding photography and film in Burgess Hill.
Your photographs and your film come from one in-house team. We cover Burgess Hill and the manor and garden venues around it, never two strangers competing for the same shot.
We are Robinson Martin Green, a two-person studio based at Mudberry Lane near Chichester. Aaron Robinson shoots the stills and Hayden Martin-Green shoots the film, and we cover Burgess Hill and mid-Sussex as one team rather than a photographer and a videographer who’ve never worked together. Everything on this site is a wedding we actually shot, from Becky and Lucas in Horsham through to Jack and Emelia at Wasing Park, photographed and filmed by the same two people who’d turn up for you.
That one-team approach matters more than it sounds. In a listed manor or a walled garden with a single way in and out, a photographer and a filmmaker who met that morning end up in each other’s frames and fighting for the same angle during the vows. We’ve agreed who stands where before the day starts, so neither of us blocks the other and you’re not the one trying to keep two strangers apart. We build the plan around the moments that matter to you rather than working off a template.
We should be straight about this. Burgess Hill is about twenty-five miles from our base and sits inside our home county, comfortably within the area we cover, but we haven’t yet documented a wedding in the town itself. We’d rather tell you that plainly than dress up a page with a Burgess Hill couple who doesn’t exist. What we can show you is real work an easy drive away, and the same two people will be the ones who arrive for you.

One team for photo and film.
Most couples start out planning to hire a photographer and a separate videographer. The hidden cost of that is coordination, and it lands on you. Two suppliers means two timelines to chase, two sets of questions about when the speeches start, and two people who each want the couple to themselves for portraits. Booking the photographs and the film as one studio removes all of that. There’s one timeline, one shot list, one point of contact, and one shared plan for how Aaron and Hayden move through your day.
For a Burgess Hill day that usually means a run along the foot of the Downs in the morning, unfamiliar-venue nerves settled by a proper walk-round beforehand, and two of us reading the same room so nothing important rests on one person. We run stills and film side by side without staging anything twice, and we talk through the running order with you in advance rather than working blind. Because the whole day stays within our home county, we’re close enough to visit your venue ahead of time without it turning into a day out.
A few of the Burgess Hill settings we are set up for.
Real venues in and around the town, each with something specific to plan around. We visit any of them ahead of your day so the first time we shoot there is not on the day itself.
Burgess Hill and mid-Sussex
- Ockenden Manor at Cuckfield, a sixteenth-century Elizabethan manor with original beams set in eight acres of grounds, a little under a mile from the centre of Burgess Hill with views over Cuckfield Park.
- Borde Hill Garden near Haywards Heath, a Grade II listed garden set within around 200 acres of parkland, with an Italian Garden for the ceremony and a rose garden that seats up to 150 for outdoor vows.
- Wickwoods Country Club at Albourne, a short drive along the foot of the Downs, with an orangery and glass house licensed for civil ceremonies alongside its grounds.
- The wider mid-Sussex countryside, with the South Downs rising to the south and Ditchling Beacon on the skyline, for couples who want the ridge in the background of their portraits.

Common questions from Burgess Hill couples.
Have you shot at Ockenden Manor or Borde Hill before?
Not yet, and we will not pretend otherwise. Our documented weddings are a short drive away rather than in Burgess Hill itself. For any venue we haven't worked at, we go and visit ahead of the day so we already know the ceremony room, where the light falls and the best spots for portraits before we turn up with you. A grand old house or a walled garden is a known quantity to plan around even on a first booking.
You are based near Chichester. Does travel to Burgess Hill cost extra?
Burgess Hill is roughly twenty-five miles from Mudberry Lane, along the base of the Downs and well inside the area we cover, so there's no separate travel charge for it. It's also close to home in the sense that the whole day sits in our own county. We'd tell you upfront if a venue ever fell outside our area, rather than adding it quietly later.
The light in mid-Sussex changes through the day. How do you plan for it?
That is the part we plan for. Grounds below the Downs move from open sun to deep shade as the afternoon turns, so we scout where the good light will sit at your ceremony time and hold a little back for portraits when the sun drops behind Ditchling Beacon and the ridge to the south. Two of us means one can be reading the light while the other stays on you.
We are having the ceremony and the reception in different places. Can you cover both?
Yes. If you marry at a venue like Ockenden Manor and move on for the evening, or the ceremony's in the orangery at Wickwoods and the party is elsewhere on the grounds, we stay with you across both so the morning and the evening come back as one set. There's no second travel charge for moving between two local venues on the same day.
How far ahead should we book a summer Burgess Hill date?
Popular dates from late spring to early autumn tend to go twelve to eighteen months out, and the country-house and garden venues around Cuckfield and Haywards Heath fill first. Shorter notice does come up, so it is worth asking even if your date is only a few months away.
