Wedding films in Hove.
One in-house team covers both the photos and the film. Hayden films your Hove day while Aaron shoots stills alongside, so the vows, the speeches and the sound of the seafront come home with you, not just the pictures.
The sound of a Hove wedding.
A Hove wedding tends to be calmer than a night out in Brighton, and a lot of it is in the sound. That means the vows read in a Regency room, guests laughing during the speeches, the sea in the background and the song you chose to walk back out to. A photograph keeps how that looked but not how it sounded. A film keeps both.
We are Robinson Martin Green, based at Mudberry Lane in Chichester, and we would rather be honest with you up front than sell you something we’re not. Hove is about 35 miles from us, close to an hour along the A27, a proper drive rather than a hop up the road, and we haven’t filmed a wedding in the town yet. We’re not going to claim to be your local Hove crew, because we’re not. We travel across for couples who specifically want one in-house team on both the film and the photographs. Hayden Martin-Green leads the films, shooting and cutting them, with Aaron Robinson on stills working the same day beside him.
What we can put in front of you is real. Full wedding films from days a straight drive along this same coast and countryside, filmed by the exact two people who would come and film yours. A Hove day is often less about racing between locations than a Brighton one and more about holding a quieter room and a stretch of open front, which suits a film that leans on clean sound and light rather than pace. That’s the film we’d plan with you.
The speeches and vows only happen once.
Photographs almost always get booked first, and the film gets left as a maybe. Then the day comes and goes at speed, the readings are read once, the speeches are given once, and none of it can be recorded again after the fact. Stills hold the look of the day. A film is the only thing that keeps the movement and the voices, a parent’s voice catching partway through, the pause before the rings, the sound of the room as it actually was. It’s the single piece of the day you can’t recreate later, so it is worth deciding on before the day rather than after.
How the Hove venues look on film.
The Hove settings each ask for a different kind of film. The fifteenth-century stone of Hangleton Manor, the oldest secular building in the Hove part of the city, holds a voice close and films warm and intimate, the ceremony you shoot tight and let the sound carry. The Victorian ironwork of The British Engineerium, the old Goldstone pumping station of 1866, gives a film hard industrial texture instead of a hotel ballroom. The Regency squares of Brunswick Town around The Hove Club film elegant and composed. Then the open front and Hove Lawns give you the wide shots, with the last of the light across the water.
The reception films differently again. First dances, speeches and the noise of a full room need the sound as much as the picture, so we keep recording the room while we film it, and the finished piece carries the words of the speeches and the first bars of your first dance as they actually sounded, not a track dropped over the top.

How your Hove day gets filmed.
Because Hayden films while Aaron photographs, you get one team, one plan and one point of contact instead of two suppliers introducing themselves to each other at your ceremony. On film that gap shows up fast. A videographer who has never worked with your photographer drifts into their shots, and the two of them end up competing for the aisle at the exact moment you are saying your vows, with you the one left smoothing it over. We settle who stands where long before you walk in, so the camera can stay on you without a second shooter wandering into the frame.
Hayden covers the ceremony on two cameras, one held on the couple and one wider on the room, so a reaction missed on one is caught on the other and the vows are never lost to a blocked shot. For a venue we have not filmed before, the stone rooms of Hangleton Manor or the engine house at The British Engineerium, we visit first, so the first time we film there is not on your day. We work out where the sound holds up against the wind off the front, where the light will sit at your ceremony hour, and where an aerial can fly over the Lawns if the day allows it. Nothing is staged twice for the two cameras. You are filmed and photographed together, then handed back to your guests.
When your film arrives.
A wedding film is really made in the edit, so it is worth knowing what follows the day. We go through the footage and the recorded sound, pick the moments, and cut your film, usually inside eight to ten weeks. It arrives in your private Wedding Hub, the same place your photographs are delivered, so the film and the gallery live together in one place rather than the film showing up on a memory stick that disappears into a drawer. A short teaser comes with Silver and Gold, and we get that to you first so you have something to share while the film is still being cut. Because the film and the photographs both come from us, it is one delivery, one login, and one team to speak to if you want anything changed.

Questions from couples booking a film.
The Hove seafront is windy. Does that wreck the audio in the film?
Wind is the enemy of clean wedding audio, and it is why we don’t rely on the camera microphone. For the ceremony the sound comes from a small microphone on the groom and one on the officiant, with a separate recorder for the speeches, all fitted with wind protection, so the vows and the readings stay clear even with a breeze coming off the water. If the ceremony itself is outdoors on a gusty day we position for it and, where it helps, move the vows to the sheltered side, so the words survive rather than washing out under the wind.
How long is our wedding film, and is there a teaser to share?
You get one wedding film, and every collection includes it, so there are no separate short and long versions. The length follows the day, and Adam and Panha above runs just under six minutes. Book Silver or Gold and the speeches are recorded in full in the film, with none of the words trimmed, plus a short teaser to share early. The teaser comes first, and the film is delivered into your private Wedding Hub, usually within eight to ten weeks of the day.
Can you fly a drone over Hove Lawns and the seafront for the film?
Where the conditions and the local rules allow it, an aerial along the open front and the Lawns gives a Hove film an opening shot you cannot get any other way, and we clear the airspace and permissions ahead of the day rather than on it. Wind and any restriction near the seafront can rule it out, and if so we tell you beforehand and cover it from the ground. We can also cut a short vertical teaser of around sixty seconds for Instagram and TikTok, so you have something to share soon after the wedding while the full film is still being edited.
Can we book just the film, or does it have to come with the photographs?
You can book the film on its own if you already have a photographer, because we plan around whoever else is covering the day. Most couples book both with us so one in-house team runs the whole day on a single plan, which is what we would suggest, but the film stands on its own if that is what you need.
