Wedding films in Eastleigh.
One in-house team covers both the photos and the film. Hayden films your Eastleigh day while Aaron shoots stills alongside, so the vows, the speeches and the sound of the room come home with you, not just the pictures.
Keeping the sound of your day.
A still of the ceremony by the water at Eastleigh is a lovely thing to frame. What it can’t give you back is the sound. It won’t have the sound of the vows, the laughter during the best man’s speech, or the music as you walked back down the aisle. A film keeps all of it, which is why it is worth booking alongside the photographs rather than leaving it for later.
We are Robinson Martin Green, based at Mudberry Lane in Chichester. Eastleigh sits about thirty miles west of us, over towards Southampton, comfortably inside the area we cover but honestly not on our doorstep. The films are led by Hayden Martin-Green, who shoots and cuts them, with Aaron Robinson on stills working the same day beside him. We’ll be straight with you from the start. We haven’t filmed a wedding in Eastleigh yet, so we’re not going to invent an Eastleigh couple to decorate this page. What we do have are full wedding films from days an easy drive away, filmed by the two people who would come and film yours.
Eastleigh gives a film two things worth planning for. The first is water. A ceremony or a set of portraits near the Itchen or by the lakes at Lakeside Country Park gives the camera movement that a dry town-centre backdrop never will, the light shifting on the surface as the afternoon turns. The second is quiet. An indoor ceremony in a room like the ones at Chilworth Manor holds a voice close, without the wind you fight in an open field, so the vows and the readings land clean on the recording instead of washing out. We plan the day around the picture and the sound together, because a wedding film that looks lovely and loses the words halfway through the vows has missed the point of being a film at all.
The speeches and vows only happen once.
Almost everyone sorts the photographer first and treats the film as the extra they might add if the budget stretches. Then the day itself goes by in a rush, the speeches happen once, the first dance happens once, and none of it can be recorded again the next morning. Photographs freeze how the day looked. Only a film gives you back the movement and the sound, from the speeches and the rings to the noise of a full room. It’s the one piece of the day that can’t be remade afterwards, so it is worth deciding on before the day rather than after.
How the light changes through the day.
An Eastleigh wedding film has more than one mood in it across a single day. In the morning we film the getting-ready shots, the details and the walk to the ceremony. The middle of the day is the vows and the group, the part most couples picture when they imagine their film. Then the evening comes, and near the water the light is at its best for filming. As the sun drops the light goes low and warm across the lakes and the Itchen, and a couple stepping out for a few minutes at that point gives you the evening shots for the film.
The reception films differently again. First dances, speeches and the roar of a full room need the sound as much as the picture, so we keep the recorders running while we film, and the finished piece carries the laugh that ran through the best man’s speech and the opening bars of your first dance as they actually sounded, not a track dropped over the top.

How your Eastleigh day gets filmed.
Because Hayden films while Aaron photographs, you get one team, one plan and one person to speak to, not two suppliers meeting for the first time at your ceremony. This matters more on film than it does on stills. A videographer who’s never met your photographer ends up in half their pictures and jostling for the aisle during the vows, and you’re the one stuck in the middle asking two strangers to work it out. We’ve already settled who stands where before you walk in, so the camera can hold on you without a second shooter wandering into the frame.
Hayden films the ceremony on two cameras, one locked on the couple and one wider on the room, so a reaction missed on one angle is caught on the other and the vows are never lost behind a blocked shot. For a venue we do not know yet, whether that is Chilworth Manor near Southampton or Botleigh Grange over at Hedge End, we walk it beforehand so the first time we film there is not on your actual day. We find where the sound stays clean, where the light will fall at your ceremony hour, and where a drone can fly if the grounds allow it. Nothing gets staged twice for the two cameras. You are filmed and photographed at the same time, then handed back to your guests.
When your film arrives.
A wedding film is really made in the edit, so it is worth knowing what happens once the day is over. We work through the footage and the recorded sound, choose the moments, and cut your wedding film, usually inside eight to ten weeks. It arrives in your private Wedding Hub, the same place your photographs are delivered, so the film and the gallery sit together in one login rather than the film turning up on a memory stick that ends up lost in a drawer. Silver and Gold include a short teaser, and that comes through first so you have something to share while the Eastleigh film is still being finished. Because your film and your photographs both come from us, there is one delivery, one login and one team to talk to if you ever want a change.

Questions from Eastleigh couples booking a film.
Will the film actually capture the speeches, or is it music over silent footage?
It captures the actual sound of the day. We put a small microphone on the groom and one on the person leading the ceremony, so the vows and the readings are recorded properly, and a separate recorder by the top table catches the speeches. What you hear back in the finished Eastleigh film is the words as they were said on the day, with the music sitting underneath rather than covering a silent clip.
How long is the wedding film, and does a teaser come with it?
Every collection comes with one edited wedding film, and that is the whole of it, with no second, longer edit on the side. Its length depends on what the day holds, and Adam and Panha above runs just under six minutes. On Silver and Gold you also get a short teaser to share early and the speeches recorded in full in the film. You see the teaser first, and the film lands in your private Wedding Hub, usually within eight to ten weeks of the day.
Can we have aerial shots over the Itchen valley, or a short clip for social?
Where the venue and the weather allow it, yes to both. Open water and countryside like the Itchen and the Hamble valley film beautifully from the air, and we sort the airspace and permissions before the day rather than on it. If flying is not possible on the day we tell you in advance and cover it from the ground. We can also cut a short vertical clip, around sixty seconds for Instagram or TikTok, so you have something to share while the full Eastleigh film is still being edited.
We already have a photographer booked. Can we book just the film?
Yes. The film can be booked on its own and it works fine, because we plan around whoever else is covering your day. Most couples book both photo and film with us so one in-house team runs the whole thing on one plan, and that is what we would suggest, but the film does not depend on it. Either way you deal with the same two people from first enquiry through to delivery.
