Wedding photography and film in Farnham.
Your photographs and your film come from one in-house team. We travel to Farnham and the country venues around it, never two strangers competing for the same shot.
Farnham Castle sits up on Castle Hill above the town, its Keep older than nine hundred years, one of the few great medieval houses left in England. A photographer who knows that Great Lawn waits for the light to soften late in the afternoon rather than shooting it flat and washed out at noon. We are Robinson Martin Green, a two-person studio based at Mudberry Lane in Chichester, and we travel to Farnham weddings across the Surrey border as one team that shoots both the photographs and the film.
The team is Aaron Robinson on stills and Hayden Martin-Green on film. We work as one unit on the day rather than two suppliers who met for the first time that morning. That matters more than it sounds. In a room the size of the Lantern Hall, a photographer and a filmmaker who have not worked together end up in each other’s frames and fighting for the same angle during the vows. We have already agreed who stands where, so neither of us blocks the other and you are not the one trying to keep two strangers apart.
We should be straight about this. Farnham is about thirty miles from our base, further than most of the area we cover week to week, and we have not yet documented a wedding in the town. We would rather tell you that plainly than dress up a page with a Farnham couple who does not exist. What we can show you is real work in Sussex, and the same two people will be the ones who turn up for you.

One team for photo and film.
Most couples start out planning to hire a photographer and a separate videographer. The hidden cost of that is coordination, and it lands on you. Two suppliers means two timelines to chase, two sets of questions about when the speeches start, and two people who each want the couple to themselves for portraits. Booking the photographs and the film as one studio removes all of that. There is one timeline, one shot list, one point of contact, and one shared plan for how Aaron and Hayden move through your day.
For a Farnham day that usually means an early start and a longer drive up from Chichester, an unfamiliar venue handled by a proper walk-round beforehand, and two of us reading the same room so nothing important rests on one person. We run stills and film side by side without staging anything twice. We talk through the order of the day with you in advance and agree the moments that matter to you specifically rather than working off a template. If your ceremony is at the castle and the celebration moves down into the town or out to a country venue afterwards, we stay with you across the whole day so the morning and the evening come back as one set.
Farnham and the Surrey border
- Farnham Castle, up on Castle Hill with a Keep that has stood for more than nine hundred years, where the Lantern Hall takes the civil ceremony and the Great Lawn looks out over the town and the Surrey Hills for drinks afterwards.
- Millbridge Court near Frensham, a restored nineteenth-century house run as an exclusive-use venue for up to a hundred and fifty guests, with light-filled halls and its own gardens for the whole day.
- Frensham Pond Country House Hotel and Spa just outside the town, a lakeside setting on the edge of Frensham Great Pond for couples who want water and open sky behind their portraits.
- The Georgian streets of Farnham itself, the brick and the old shopfronts down Castle Street, which give you somewhere to step out for portraits between the ceremony and the reception.
A few of the Farnham settings we are set up for.
Real venues in and around the town, each with something specific to plan around. We visit any of them ahead of your day so the first time we shoot there is not on the day itself.

Common questions from Farnham couples.
Have you photographed a wedding at Farnham Castle before?
Not yet, and we will not pretend otherwise. Our real weddings so far have been closer to home in Sussex rather than in Farnham itself. For any venue we have not worked at, we visit ahead of the day so we already know the ceremony room, the way the light falls and the spots for portraits before we arrive with you. The Great Lawn and the Lantern Hall are the kind of setting we would want a proper walk-round of first, and we build that in as standard.
You are based near Chichester. Farnham is a fair way. Does that cost extra?
Farnham is around thirty miles from Mudberry Lane, further than most of the area we cover day to day, so we would be straight with you about it. For a full-day booking the travel is built into the quote rather than added on afterwards, and we would confirm that in writing before you commit. We would never quietly slip a mileage charge onto the final bill.
The castle sits high above the town. How do you handle the light up there?
That open aspect is the thing to plan for. The Great Lawn looks out over Farnham and the Surrey Hills with very little shelter, so it moves from flat midday sun to long golden light late in the day. We work out where the good light will be at your ceremony time and hold a little back for portraits once the sun drops. Two of us means one can be reading the light while the other stays on the couple.
We are having the day at a barn near Frensham, not in the town. Is that a problem?
Not at all. Places like Millbridge Court near Frensham are exactly the kind of exclusive-use setting we plan around, and a lakeside venue such as Frensham Pond changes the way we shoot again. We would visit whichever one you have chosen beforehand so the first time we see it is not on your wedding morning.
How far ahead should we book a Farnham summer date?
Popular dates from late spring through to early autumn tend to go twelve to eighteen months out, and the exclusive-use venues around Farnham fill first. Shorter notice does come up, so it is always worth asking even if your date is only a few months away.
Weddings we have actually shot.
We would rather show you weddings we actually shot than a wall of borrowed images. Becky and Lucas married in Sussex and let us cover the whole day from the morning through to the evening at The Highdown, and that gallery shows how we work: two of us working quietly in the room and photographing the day as it happens rather than staging it. Adam and Panha at Fitzleroi Barn and Jack and Emelia across Wasing Park are two more.
None of those was in Farnham, and we are not going to imply otherwise. What they show you is the thing that travels with us up the A-road: one team, photo and film held together, and a finished set that feels like your day rather than a template. When we do shoot our first Farnham wedding, it will go on this page under its real names.
